When you create a CareerScript account, we collect your name, email address, and password. When you use our platform, we also collect resume content you upload or create, job search preferences, application tracking data, and usage analytics.

We do not collect sensitive personal data such as race, ethnicity, political opinions, or health information unless you explicitly include it in your resume content.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and improve our services, including AI-powered resume optimization, job matching, application tracking, and interview preparation. We also use aggregated, anonymized data to improve our AI models and platform performance.

We never sell your personal data to third parties. Your resume content is never shared with employers or recruiters without your explicit consent.

3. AI and Data Processing

Our AI models process your resume content and job preferences to generate optimized resume bullets, job match scores, and interview practice questions. This processing is performed securely and your data is not used to train general-purpose AI models.

You retain full ownership of all content you create or upload to CareerScript.

4. Data Storage and Security

All data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 and in transit using TLS 1.3. We store data on SOC 2 Type II certified infrastructure hosted in the United States. We conduct regular security audits and penetration testing.

Access to user data is strictly limited to authorized personnel who require it to provide support or maintain the service.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time through your account settings or by contacting us at [email protected].

Upon deletion, all personal data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

6. Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and preferences. We use analytics cookies (which can be disabled) to understand how users interact with our platform.
