1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CareerScript (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

These terms apply to all users, including visitors, registered users, and anyone who accesses or uses the Service.

2. Account Registration

To use certain features, you must create an account with accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account. By registering, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Use of the Service

CareerScript provides AI-powered career tools including resume building, job matching, application tracking, and interview preparation. These tools are designed to assist your job search but do not guarantee employment outcomes.

You agree not to use the Service to submit false information, harass others, attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, or any unlawful purpose.

4. Content Ownership

You retain full ownership of all content you create, upload, or generate using CareerScript, including resumes, cover letters, and application data.

By using the Service, you grant CareerScript a limited license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service. This license terminates when you delete your account.

5. AI-Generated Content

CareerScript uses AI to generate resume bullet points, cover letters, interview responses, and job recommendations. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors or omissions.

You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI-generated content before using it in job applications or other professional contexts.

6. Subscription and Payment

Free accounts have limited functionality as described on our Pricing page. Pro subscriptions are billed monthly or annually as selected. Enterprise pricing is determined on a per-agreement basis.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.

You can export or delete your data at any time through your account settings.

8. Limitation of Liability

CareerScript is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate.

In no event shall CareerScript be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, but the provisions regarding content ownership and limitation of liability survive.

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before taking effect.

Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in San Francisco, California, except where prohibited by law.
